Preparing for the homily this week takes me back to the Wisdom of Mother Teresa and a quote I have often used:
“Let us touch the dying, the poor, the lonely and the unwanted according to the graces we have received and let us not be ashamed or slow to do the humble work.”
Sometimes we get so caught up in the business of religion and the desire to appear holy that we forget that it is really about humility and the courage to do the humble work.
In this short clip, Mother Teresa brings Matthew 25 alive in her own unique and quiet way:
For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Matthew 25:35-36
