A Prayer from my Dad

My Dad died 15 years ago. Wow where did that time go?

We were close but it is not like I think of him every day. He seems to “pop” into my mind at the oddest of times.

Today, amidst the noise of the Indy Car race in downtown Toronto, I found myself thinking of himĀ  and the words of the Serenity Prayer came into my mind. This is one of the few prayers, perhaps the only one really, that my Dad taught me. It meant a lot to him especially the lines about change.

Turns out the Serenity Prayer has a history and several versions– Here is the short one just as my Dad taught it to me.I think I needed to hear this- thanks Dad.
